Recorded in 1996 released in 1998, this one is known as one of James Hetfield's favorite songs as stated in the documentary about Some Kind Of Monster. "Fuel" featured in the House M.D. episode "Known Unknowns" (Season 6, Episode 7) in an attempt to recreate the conditions of a patients original symptoms. Avril Lavigne has covered this song in a live concert once. The instrumental of "Fuel" was the theme during race recaps for NASCAR broadcasts on NBC and TNT.
