Massive Attack - Teardrop - the infamous soundtrack to House M.D.

Massive Attack - Teardrop

Every person in the world that has watched the series of our favorite medical diagnostician Dr. House has heard this song at least once and the number isn't small at all. However many people seem to miss the fact that this song was written long before the series was even planned. The song was first released in 1998 and it even became a hit back then reaching the top 10 on the UK charts. The vocals on the song are recorded by Elizabeth Fraser, which was chosen over Madonna at the time to record them as her style suited the melody of the song more. The music video is quite strange bu it also suits the song very well as it contains a plastic fetus that eventually begins singing the song in the womb.

Lyrics:

Love, love is a verb
Love is a doing word
Fearless on my breath
Gentle impulsion
Shakes me, makes me lighter
Fearless on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Fearless on my breath

Nine night of matter
Black flowers blossom
Fearless on my breath
Black flowers blossom
Fearless on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Fearless on my...

Water is my eye
Most faithful mirror
Fearless on my breath
Teardrop on the fire
Of a confession
Fearless on my breath
Most faithful mirror
Fearless on my breath

Teardrop on the fire
Fearless on my breath

You're stumbling down
You're stumbling down
