Now this song can be discussed for a lifetime and it was when it forst came out in 1998 along with the movie The Prince Of  Egypt which was indeed a heart-melting animation that had us all filled with tears. The song was awarded with the Academy Award for Best Original Song on March 21st 1999, but sadly it reached only number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as I would say that it deserved at least the top 10 spot. Anyway the song has a magical melody and a lot of other charts did actually manage to notice it and it did reach the top 10 spots all across Europe. The X-Factor winner Leon Jackson did a cover of the song in 2007 and his version also managed to become quite successful, but unlike the original it was for a brief moment and only limited to UK and Ireland.

Yep that's her, but in a diferent era. Her voice still sounds as great but the songs tend to get pretty mainstream. This piece was played live at the 33rd annual Grammy awards and also in a few famous shows, and the thing about Mariah is that she always sounds just like in the studio. When the video aired the song topped the charts in the US, Canada and New Zealand remaining atop the charts for four weeks.
