Marilyn Manson - The Beautiful People

As scandalous and wicked as Marilyn Manson is considered by a large part of the world he does know how to make music and this song is a great example of his skills. The song was a major industrial hit and managed to peak at number 26 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart when it was released in 1997. The song was also performed live with Johnny Depp on the guitar in 2012 which was really a shock to a lot of people. In 2006 the song was ranked at number 28 on VH1's 40 Greatest Metal Songs. According to Manson himself the song is about two major themes - the culture of beauty and the Friedrich Nietzsche's theory of master-slave morality.
