Live - Lightning Crashes - an underrated masterpiece of the 90's

Live - Lightning Crashes

A truly deep song, performed with an immense amount of feeling, along with a mix of sad and happy teardops that remind you that the wheel keeps on turning and you should cherish what you have as long as you have it. As some people tend to misinterpret the video I would say that it deserves a good explanation to keep the misunderstandings away. The video is actually featuring an old woman die while a young woman gives birth to new life. As Ed Kowalczyk has said "It probably would have been better if the video was shot in a hospital to avoid the confusion of people". Noboy is dying at the act of childbirth, as some people tend to think.

Lightning crashes, a new mother cries.
Her placenta falls to the floor,
the angel opens her eyes.
The confusion sets in,
before the doctor can even close the door.

Lightning crashes, an old mother dies.
Her intentions fall to the floor,
the angel closes her eyes.
The confusion that was hers,
Belongs now, to the baby down the hall.

All my feelings comin' back again,
like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind.
Forces pullin' from the center of the Earth again.
I can feel it.

Lightning crashes, a new mother cries.
This moment she's been waiting for.
The angel opens her eyes.
Her pale blue colored iris,
presents the circle,
and puts the glory out to hide, hide.

All my feelings comin' back again,
like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind.
Forces pullin' fom the center of the Earth again.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.

I can feel it, comin' back again,
like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind.
Forces pullin' from the center of the Earth again.
I can feel it.

I can feel it, comin' back again,
like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind.
Forces pullin' from the center of the Earth again.
I can feel it.

I can feel it, comin' back again,
like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind.
Forces pullin' from the center of the Earth again.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
I can feel it.
