Portishead - Sour Times - a 90s songs that gives you the chills

Portishead - Sour Times

It still remains a mystery how this song did not make it to the movie score of a movie. This has got to be one of the creepiest tunes in the history of music that was listened to in the 90s. It does really give you that James Bond feel. The music video itself is based on the short film by Portishead that is called TO Kill a Dead Man. The song appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 chart under the number 53 which in my opinion was a very low score for such an exquisite masterpiece.

To pretend no one can find
The fallacies of morning rose
Forbidden fruit, hidden eyes
Courtesies that I despise in me
Take a ride, take a shot now

Cos nobody loves me
It's true
Not like you do

Covered by the blind belief
That fantasies of sinful screens
Bear the facts, assume the dye
End the vows no need to lie, enjoy
Take a ride, take a shot now

Cos nobody loves me
It's true
Not like you do

Who oo am I, what and why
Cos all I have left is my memories of yesterday
Ohh these sour times

Cos nobody loves me
It's true
Not like you do

After time the bitter taste
Of innocence decent or race
Scattered seed, buried lives
Mysteries of our disguise revolve
Circumstance will decide...

Cos nobody loves me
It's true
Not like you do

Cos nobody loves me
It's true
Not like you

Cos nobody loves me
It's true
Not like you do
